The national US average is $0.12 per kWh, so in this example it would cost about $0.04 per day or $11.52 per month to run your RV fridge on propane only while traveling.
How many watts does A Dometic CFX3 use?

For example, four 25 watt panels would be enough to power a 12 volt refrigerator for around eight hours per day.
In total, that would give you around 400 watt-hours of power per day.

The Dometic CFX 28 is one of the best in terms of power usage, but it still falls a bit short when compared to similar models from other brands.

So, even though the Dometic cooler doesn’t use as much power as some other appliances, it’s still not the most efficient option out there.
If you’re looking for a more energy-efficient way to keep your food and drinks cold, you might want to consider a different type of cooler.
